Brand new, purpose-built clinic | Leadership role with real influence | Supportive, values-led culture
When You’re Ready to Lead Properly
If you are an experienced RVN who has been carrying leadership responsibility without the title, or a Head Nurse who wants the chance to build something the right way from day one, this could be the role that finally matches your standards.
This is about more than filling a rota. It is about shaping a nursing team, setting the tone for clinical excellence, and working in an environment where your judgement, experience, and ideas genuinely matter.
The Opportunity
We are working with a brand new, purpose-built veterinary clinic in Beckenham that has been designed with intention. Not just modern equipment and sleek spaces, but workflows that support calm, organised days and a culture that respects the nursing team as clinical leaders.
They are looking for a Head Nurse who wants ownership. Someone who enjoys mentoring others, setting high standards, and creating a positive, supportive environment where nurses feel confident, heard, and proud of the care they deliver.
This is a permanent, on-site role where you will work closely with the veterinary team to shape how the clinic operates day to day. You will be trusted to lead, supported to grow, and given the autonomy to do your job well.
Why This Role Is Different
A Clinic Built for Best Practice
This is a state-of-the-art facility with modern medical equipment and bespoke veterinary technology, designed to make clinical work smoother and safer. You will oversee its use and upkeep, not fight against outdated systems.
Leadership With Real Impact
You will lead, mentor, and develop the nursing team, setting protocols, supporting progression, and fostering a genuinely collaborative culture rather than just managing tasks.
Clinical Standards You Can Stand Behind
From patient care plans to infection control and stock management, you will play a central role in maintaining and improving clinical standards across the practice.
A Positive, Inclusive Environment
The focus here is on teamwork, respect, and adaptability. Ideas are welcomed, communication is open, and people are encouraged to contribute rather than just comply.
Your Journey Here
In Your First Month
You will focus on getting to know the team, understanding workflows, and becoming confident with the clinic’s technology and protocols. This is about building trust and finding your rhythm.
By Three Months
You will be fully leading the nursing team, refining processes where needed, managing stock and equipment confidently, and collaborating closely with vets on patient care planning.
By Six Months
You will be a central figure in the clinic’s success. A trusted leader who has shaped the nursing culture, supported team development, and contributed ideas that genuinely influence how the practice evolves.
