The Role
This is a full-time position working 40 hours over a 4-day week with 1 in 6 Saturdays (with time off in lieu). The role offers an exciting and varied caseload, allowing you to utilise and develop your full range of nursing skills. You’ll be part of a collaborative, forward-thinking team that handles everything from complex orthopaedic surgeries to challenging medical cases.
Our Facilities
The Birkenhead clinic is well-equipped with seven consulting rooms, two theatres, and a dedicated X-ray suite. It’s a Cat Friendly accredited practice with separate dog and cat wards, supporting a calm, stress-free environment for patients. Facilities also include advanced imaging equipment and the ability to carry out services such as cardiac scanning.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking an enthusiastic, compassionate Registered Veterinary Nurse who thrives in a supportive team and is passionate about providing accessible, high-quality veterinary care. Whether you’re newly qualified or have years of experience, what matters most is a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to making a difference.
Work Culture & Development
This is a team that truly values equality and inclusion — there’s no hierarchy here, just mutual respect and shared goals. The practice takes pride in its collaborative environment, where every voice is heard, and every team member plays a key role in delivering outstanding patient care.
About the Practice
This is a unique not-for-profit veterinary group operating as a Community Interest Company — the only veterinary CIC in the UK. The mission is simple yet powerful: to make veterinary care more accessible and affordable for all. With free consultations and transparent pricing, the team helps remove financial barriers to treatment, ensuring no pet is left untreated when a viable option exists.
