4-day week | Purpose-led practice | Funded CPD to certificate level

If you want your nursing skills to genuinely matter again

If you are an experienced RVN who wants more than just getting through the day, and you are drawn to work that feels meaningful, valued, and ethically grounded, this could be the role that reconnects you with why you became a nurse in the first place.

The Opportunity

We are working with a purpose-led veterinary practice in Failsworth, Greater Manchester, that has built something genuinely different. This is not a business driven by targets or profit margins. It is a Community Interest Company with a clear mission: making high-quality veterinary care accessible and affordable for everyone.

They are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse who wants variety, autonomy, and the chance to use their full skill set. This is not a task-limited nursing role. You will be central to patient care, clinical decision-making, and client support in a busy, well-equipped environment where nurses are trusted and respected.

You will be joining a growing team that values collaboration, learning, and shared purpose, supported by certificate holders and modern facilities that allow you to practice proper nursing.

Why This Role Is Different

Nursing-Led, Not Vet-Limited

This is a role where your nursing skills are actively encouraged and utilised. From inpatient care and anaesthesia, to consultations and supporting complex cases, your contribution truly matters.

Facilities That Match the Caseload

The practice operates with three theatres, a digital X-ray suite, a dedicated dental suite, and seven well-equipped consulting rooms. Separate dog and cat wards help minimise stress and improve patient welfare.

Real Clinical Variety

You will see a genuinely diverse caseload, including medical, surgical, and orthopaedic cases. This keeps the role stimulating and supports continued professional development.

A Supportive, Values-Driven Team

You will work alongside a growing group of certificate holders in an environment that prioritises learning, compassion, and teamwork over speed and volume.

Your Journey Here

In Your First Month:
You will settle into the team, get to know the systems and workflows, and build confidence across the varied caseload with support from experienced colleagues.

In Your First 3 Months:
You will be confidently contributing across theatres, wards, and consults, starting to lean into areas you enjoy most and exploring funded CPD opportunities.

In Your First 6 Months:
You will be a well-established member of the nursing team, potentially working towards a funded certificate and playing a key role in maintaining high clinical and welfare standards.
