About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a friendly, well-established small animal practice in Helston, Cornwall. The team takes pride in delivering a high standard of care to both clients and patients, and the practice’s RCVS-accredited, Silver Cat Friendly status reflects that commitment.
The successful candidate will be supported to develop professionally, with encouragement to pursue clinical interests and undertake Schedule 3 procedures. The practice is also proud to be a training practice, dedicated to nurturing the next generation of veterinary professionals.
You’ll be joining a close-knit, supportive team of 2 RVNs, 2 SVNs and 4 ANAs, working collaboratively in a warm and relaxed environment.
About the Practice
Located in the picturesque market town of Helston, this long-standing practice has been serving the local community for over a century. The area offers the perfect balance of career fulfilment and lifestyle, with the Cornish coastline right on your doorstep. From Porthleven Harbour and Loe Pool to Bonython Estate Gardens and The Lizard Peninsula, there’s no shortage of stunning scenery to explore.
Helston also benefits from good transport links, with Penzance and Falmouth both just 13 miles away via the A394, and regular bus services connecting the region.
Team Culture
The practice team is known for its friendly, family-like atmosphere and supportive environment:
“We really are like family – we socialise together outside of work and are never far away from a good walk!”
“We have so many lovely clients – and their pets of course!”
This is a place where everyone feels valued, supported, and encouraged to be the best version of themselves.
