30 hours over 3 days | Values-led practice | Real nursing autonomy

If you want your nursing skills to genuinely matter again

If you are an RVN who believes nursing is about more than just getting through the day, and you want to work somewhere your skills, judgement and compassion are truly valued, this role will feel different from the start.

The Opportunity

We are working with a purpose-led veterinary clinic in Ashton-under-Lyne, that has built its entire model around accessibility, fairness and clinical integrity. This is a place where veterinary care is treated as a necessity, not a luxury, and where nurses play a central role in delivering that care.

You will be joining a well-established nursing team in a modern, well-equipped clinic with a varied medical and surgical caseload. This is not a role where you are stuck at the side lines. It is a role where you are trusted, listened to, and encouraged to use your full skillset to make a meaningful difference to patients and clients alike.

The clinic operates with a flat structure and no hierarchy. Everyone’s voice carries weight, and collaboration is part of daily life, not just something written on the wall.

Why This Role Is Different

A clinic built for proper nursing

Five consulting rooms, two theatres and a dedicated dental suite give you the space and facilities to nurse properly, not rush or compromise.

Thoughtful inpatient care

Separate dog and cat wards ensure calmer, more comfortable stays and allow you to focus on patient welfare without unnecessary stress.

Interesting, varied clinical work

The caseload covers both medical and surgical cases, with an on-site orthopaedic surgeon adding depth, learning opportunities and clinical challenge.

A genuinely inclusive culture

There is no hierarchy here. Nurses, vets and support staff work as equals, with shared responsibility for standards, outcomes and culture.

Values you can stand behind

As a Community Interest Company, the focus is not on profit maximisation but on sustainability, transparency and ensuring pets get the treatment they need.

Your Journey Here

In your first month, you will settle into the team, learn the clinic’s systems and get comfortable with the caseload, equipment and ethos. Support is hands-on and patient.

By three months, you will be confidently managing your nursing responsibilities, contributing ideas, and using your skills across consults, theatre and inpatient care.

By six months, you will be a trusted, established member of the team, with opportunities to pursue funded CPD or certificates aligned with your interests.
