A supportive, close-knit team | Flexible full-time rota | Coastal lifestyle with real balance

If you want to feel valued, not rushed

If you are a Registered Veterinary Nurse who wants to enjoy your work again, be part of a genuinely supportive team, and still have a life outside the practice, this could be the role you have been waiting for.

The Opportunity

We are working with a long-established first-opinion small animal practice on the Sefton coast, that has spent more than three decades building trust with its local community. This is a team that values continuity, kindness, and doing the right thing for patients and clients alike.

You would be joining a welcoming nursing and vet team who work closely together across four nearby branches. This is not about filling a gap on a rota. They are looking for an RVN who enjoys collaboration, takes pride in patient care, and wants to be part of a practice where people genuinely look out for one another.

Whether you are newly qualified and looking for a safe, encouraging place to build confidence, or an experienced nurse who wants stability and respect for your skills, there is space here for you to thrive.

Why This Role Is Different

A team that truly sticks together

Many of the vets and nurses have been here for years, which says a lot in today’s climate. You will be supported, listened to, and encouraged to contribute, not just told to get on with it.

A rota designed for real life

Full-time hours are worked across either 3.5 days or a 3 day / 4 day week on a two-week rotation, with full days of 10.5 hours. Saturday mornings are 1 in 3, finishing at 1.00pm and included within your contracted hours. No hidden extras.

Varied, rewarding clinical work

Working across four well-established practices keeps the role interesting and helps you build strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike, while still feeling part of one team.

Values that extend beyond the practice

The team actively supports local charities, and many staff volunteer their own time both in the UK and overseas. Compassion is not just a buzzword here, it is lived every day.

Your Journey Here

In your first month, you will focus on settling in, getting to know the team across the branches, and feeling confident with systems and routines, with plenty of support around you.

By three months, you will be working comfortably within the rota, contributing fully to nurse clinics and patient care, and starting to shape your CPD in line with your interests.

By six months, you will feel like a true part of the fabric of the practice, trusted, confident, and supported to keep developing in the direction that matters to you.
