A genuine 4 day week. A modern, progressive clinic. A team that invests in you.
If You Are an RVN Who Wants More Than Just “Getting Through the Day”
If you are an experienced RVN who takes pride in doing things properly, enjoys variety in your caseload, and wants to feel genuinely supported to grow, this role is worth your attention.
This is for someone who enjoys being hands-on clinically, values teamwork, and wants to work somewhere that actually follows through on its promises around development and wellbeing.
The Opportunity
We are working with a well-established, modern, small animal practice in Waltham Forest, that has built a reputation locally for high clinical standards and a genuinely positive team culture.
This is not a practice standing still. They actively invest in their people, their facilities, and their clinical standards. Nurses are encouraged to use their skills fully, contribute ideas, and support each other’s development rather than being stuck on repeat tasks.
They are now looking for an experienced, proactive RVN who enjoys variety, communicates confidently with both clients and colleagues, and wants to be part of a team that cares deeply about doing the right thing for patients and people.
Why This Role Is Different
A clinic that backs up its talk on development
Continuous learning is not a slogan here. CPD is ongoing and supported across all levels, with nurses encouraged to explore areas of interest and build advanced skills. Several team members are working towards, or have achieved, additional certificates in areas such as surgery and small animal medicine.
Modern facilities that allow proper nursing
You will be working in a well-equipped, contemporary practice environment that enables you to deliver high-quality clinical care without constant compromise.
A genuinely supportive team culture
This is a team that welcomes new colleagues properly. Support is visible day to day, knowledge is shared openly, and people are encouraged to help each other succeed rather than compete.
Pride in patient care
The practice has achieved Cat Friendly Clinic status, reflecting a thoughtful, welfare-led approach to how patients are handled and cared for.
Your Journey Here
In your first month
You will be settling into the team, learning how the practice works, and getting comfortable with the systems and facilities. Support will be there when you need it, without micromanagement.
By three months
You will be confident in your role, actively contributing to patient care across a varied caseload, and beginning to shape how you use your skills day to day. Conversations around CPD and development will already be underway.
By six months
You will be a valued, established member of the nursing team, supporting colleagues, developing your own clinical interests, and making full use of the opportunities available to you.
