About the Role


This is a full-time position (4-day week) within a busy, progressive small animal practice based in Uppingham, Rutland. You’ll have the freedom to shape your role around your strengths—whether you prefer a consult-only focus or enjoy managing complex surgical and medical cases. Protected time and support are provided to help you develop your clinical interests.

You’ll be part of a dedicated and friendly team of 22 vets, ranging from recent graduates to certificate holders. The team values collaboration, knowledge sharing, and mentorship, and you’ll have the chance to both learn from and support others.

The practice is fully equipped to deliver an excellent standard of care, with access to advanced diagnostic tools and a highly skilled nursing team. The varied caseload offers plenty of opportunity to broaden your experience and take on interesting cases.

We’re seeking an experienced, team-oriented Veterinary Surgeon who is passionate about providing high-quality, contextualised care. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working cases up thoroughly, and take pride in mentoring new graduates. A calm, approachable manner and excellent communication skills are key to fitting into this warm, collaborative team.
