About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-equipped Tier 3 RCVS-accredited Hospital in Leicester. Both full-time and part-time applications are welcome, with flexible working patterns and rota options to suit your lifestyle.
You’ll work 40 hours per week over 4 or 5 days, with a 1:4 Saturday rota (8:30am–2pm) and occasional Sunday shifts (8am–7pm, paid extra). There’s no out-of-hours, ensuring a healthy work-life balance.
The role offers flexibility to focus on inpatient care or surgery, depending on your interests. Consulting and operating time are balanced equally, with protected time for case workups and professional development.

Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a confident, experienced Veterinary Surgeon (minimum 2 years in general practice) who enjoys working collaboratively and delivering high-quality clinical care. You should be comfortable with:

Routine neutering (including flank spays)

Abdominal ultrasound, TFAST and AFAST imaging
-
Exploratory laparotomies, splenectomies, GDVs, gastrotomy, and enterotomy
-
Routine consultations and dental procedures
Whether you’re an all-round GP vet or wish to specialise further, your career aspirations will be supported through tailored CPD and mentorship.
