About the Role

A fantastic opportunity for a motivated and compassionate Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly, supportive first-opinion team in beautiful Exeter.
This position offers a varied caseload across consults and surgeries, with opportunities to develop your own clinical interests and work alongside an experienced multi-disciplinary team.

Both full-time and part-time applications are welcomed, and working patterns can be tailored to suit your lifestyle. Weekend duties are shared fairly across the team, and inpatient care is managed in-house – ensuring excellent continuity of care without compromising work-life balance.

About the Practice

This is a modern, well-equipped, RCVS-accredited small animal practice with advanced facilities including CT, 3D ultrasound, digital radiography, endoscopy, and dental imaging.
The practice is proud to hold ISFM Cat Friendly Clinic accreditations (Bronze to Gold across sites) and RWAF Rabbit Friendly accreditations (Silver and Gold).

You’ll be joining a collaborative, experienced team with multiple certificate holders in surgery, medicine, and imaging, and further qualifications in progress for exotics and surgery.
Visiting specialists support the team in cardiology, ophthalmology, physiotherapy, and behaviour, with strong links to local referral hospitals and regular CPD events.

  • Passionate about delivering high-quality, personalised care

  • Keen to grow your clinical skills, supported by experienced colleagues and referral partnerships

  • A genuine team player who values collaboration and continuous improvement
