Registered Veterinary Nurse

Queens Park, London Full Time Up to £32,552

The Role

A well-established veterinary practice in Queens Park, NW6 is looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their small, close-knit team on either a full-time or part-time basis. Full-time hours are 42 per week with no weekends; part-time is 32 to 34 hours with no weekends. The caseload covers a steady mix of general procedures including neutering, dentistry, lump removals, and diagnostic imaging. You will run nurse consultations, assist in theatre, monitor anaesthesia, and work closely with the veterinary team on patient care. The practice also has a Patient Care Assistant who is progressing towards SVN training, and you will play a part in supporting that journey.

The Practice

This is a small, busy practice in the heart of Queens Park with a loyal client base built over more than 20 years. Many of the team have been with the practice since its early days, which reflects the stability and culture here. The practice is well equipped with digital X-ray, dental X-ray, an in-house laboratory, and modern surgical facilities. Nurses also benefit from connection to a wider local nursing community across neighbouring practices, which provides shared knowledge and professional support. Transport links are excellent, with Brondesbury Overground and Bakerloo Underground both nearby.

What Is On Offer

  • Salary up to £32,552 depending on experience, pro rata for part-time
  • Full-time 42 hours or part-time 32 to 34 hours, no weekends
  • £500 CPD allowance and two CPD days per year
  • Funded external CPD
  • Access to an extensive online CPD platform

  • Clear career progression framework
  • Salary development aligned with experience and qualifications

Your Journey Here

In Your First Month: You will settle into the team, familiarise yourself with the practice's systems and client base, and start building relationships with the veterinary team.

By Month Three: You will be running nurse consultations independently, contributing fully across theatre and inpatient care, and engaging with your CPD plan.

By Month Six: You will be a valued and trusted member of the team, with a clear picture of your development pathway and the support to pursue it.

If you are looking for a stable, well-established practice where nurses are genuinely valued and supported, we would be glad to have a confidential conversation.
