24hr Hospital | 4 Day Week | Real Clinical Variety
If You Want Your Nursing Skills to Truly Matter
If you became an RVN to nurse, not just assist, and you are looking for a role where your skills are trusted, valued and genuinely needed, this could be the step forward you have been waiting for.
The Opportunity
We are working with a 24 hour veterinary hospital in Bolton that has built its entire model around one clear belief. No pet should go without treatment because of financial barriers.
This is not a practice driven by targets or profit margins. It operates as a Community Interest Company, reinvesting back into care and accessibility. That mission shapes everything, from free consultations to transparent pricing, and it attracts a team who are deeply aligned with making a difference.
They are now looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse who wants to be part of that purpose. Someone who enjoys a varied caseload, thrives in a busy hospital environment, and takes pride in delivering gold standard patient care, especially when it really counts.
Why This Role Is Different
A True Hospital Environment
This is a fully equipped 24 hour site with:
- 8 consulting rooms
- 3 theatres
- Dedicated x-ray and dental suite
- On site CT scanner
- Separate dog and cat wards
- A specialised ICU ward for intensive nursing care
You will be working cases that genuinely stretch and develop your skills.
Real Clinical Variety
The caseload spans both medical and surgical cases, with weekly orthopaedic procedures. If you enjoy seeing cases through, being involved in complex workups, and providing hands-on inpatient and ICU nursing, you will not be bored here.
A Flat, Inclusive Culture
There is no traditional hierarchy. The team operates collaboratively, with nurses actively contributing to patient care decisions and clinical discussions. Every voice matters.
Your Journey Here
In Your First Month
You will settle into the hospital workflow, build relationships across the clinical team, and gain confidence with the systems and facilities, including theatre, imaging and ICU protocols.
By Three Months
You will be confidently rotating through wards, theatre and consult support, fully involved in medical and surgical cases, and starting to shape your CPD direction around areas that genuinely interest you.
By Six Months
You will be a trusted, integral part of the nursing team. Whether that means taking a lead role in ICU cases, developing advanced skills in anaesthesia, or pursuing further qualifications, you will be actively shaping your progression.
