4-day week | No out of hours | Tier 3 hospital with advanced kit

Feeling Ready for More?

If you are an RVN who loves nursing but feels ready for a role where your skills are truly used and valued, this could be the change you have been waiting for.

The Opportunity

We are working with a busy, hospital-based veterinary practice in Wiltshire that has built a reputation around doing things properly. Not rushed. Not reactive. Just high-quality clinical care delivered by a team that genuinely enjoys working together.

This is not about filling a gap. They are looking for a nurse who wants to be part of something progressive. Someone who takes pride in patient care, enjoys being hands-on with advanced procedures, and values being part of a supportive, close-knit team.

You will be based in a Tier 3 hospital setting with access to a wide range of modern equipment and an experienced team around you. From complex surgical cases to gold-standard feline care, this is a place where you can grow, not just maintain.

Why This Role Is Different

A hospital environment that actually uses your skills
You will be working with advanced equipment including digital and dental radiography, ultrasound, laparoscopy, and full endoscopy capabilities. There is also an in-house lab supported by a dedicated technician, meaning you can focus on nursing, not firefighting.

A team that feels like a team
This is a genuinely close-knit group, described as diverse, fun, and supportive. You will be working alongside people who enjoy what they do and support each other day to day.

Clinical standards that are more than words
The practice holds Tier 3 hospital status and has achieved gold-level Cat Friendly accreditation. Advanced soft tissue and orthopaedic procedures are performed in-house, giving you exposure to a varied and interesting caseload.

Work-life balance that is built in
A 4-day working week with no out-of-hours requirement. There is a dedicated night team, so when you finish, you are done.

A chance to shape future nurses
If you enjoy mentoring or want to develop in this area, there is an opportunity to support and influence the next generation of veterinary nurses.

Your Journey Here

In Your First Month
You will focus on settling into the team, learning how the hospital operates, and getting comfortable with the equipment and workflows. You will feel supported from day one.

In Your First 3 Months
You will be confidently involved in a wide range of cases, contributing fully to patient care and starting to explore areas of particular interest, including CPD opportunities.

In Your First 6 Months
You will be a key part of the nursing team, potentially mentoring others, and shaping your own development pathway, whether that is through certificates or clinical specialisation.
