39 hours over 4 days | 1 in 4 weekends | Purpose built modern practice
Looking for a nursing role where you are genuinely part of the clinical picture?
If you are a Registered Veterinary Nurse who thrives on variety, values teamwork, and wants to feel supported while you grow, this could be the move that reignites your enthusiasm.
The Opportunity
We are working with a purpose built, modern small animal practice in Doncaster that has built its reputation on two things. Consistently high clinical standards and a team culture that genuinely backs one another.
This is not about filling a gap. They are looking for an RVN who wants to be involved, who enjoys getting stuck in with a varied caseload, and who understands that exceptional patient care and client experience go hand in hand. You will join a growing nursing team where collaboration is the norm, not the exception.
You will work a 4 day week, averaging 39 hours, with 1 in 4 weekends and duty nights on a fair rotation. The pace is engaging, but the environment is organised and well equipped, allowing you to focus on nursing properly rather than constantly firefighting.
Why This Role Is Different
A Practice Designed for Modern Nursing
You will work in a purpose built clinic with modern facilities, structured workflows, and the equipment needed to support high quality patient care day and night. This is a setting where good medicine is enabled, not restricted.
A Team That Invests in Skill Growth
Several team members are working towards certificates, expanding both their own clinical confidence and the services the practice can offer. Continuous professional development is not a tick box exercise here. It is part of the culture.
A Varied and Engaging Caseload
From routine surgical support to inpatient care and client education, you will use the full breadth of your nursing skillset. If you enjoy diversity in your day and being relied upon clinically, you will feel at home.
A Collaborative Culture
They are big on communication. Nurses are encouraged to contribute ideas, support colleagues, and take ownership of their role within the team. It is a place where being proactive is appreciated.
Your Journey Here
In Your First Month
You will focus on settling in with the team, understanding protocols, and building confidence with the systems and equipment. You will quickly feel supported by colleagues who are happy to answer questions and share knowledge.
By Month Three
You will be confidently managing nurse consults, supporting a range of surgical and medical cases, and identifying CPD opportunities that align with your interests. Your voice will be heard in team discussions.
By Month Six
You will be an established and valued member of the nursing team. Whether that means pursuing further qualifications, developing a niche interest, or mentoring newer colleagues, you will have clear direction and backing to progress.
