4 Day Week | 1 in 4 Weekends | Genuine Clinical Development

Looking for a Nursing Role Where You’re Truly Valued?

If you are a Registered Veterinary Nurse who thrives in a busy practice but wants to feel supported, appreciated, and encouraged to grow, this could be the change you have been waiting for.

The Opportunity

We are working with a purpose built, modern small animal practice in Liverpool that has built its reputation on delivering exceptional clinical care without losing sight of the human side of veterinary work.

This is not about simply filling a rota gap. The team is looking for a nurse who wants to be fully involved, who enjoys a varied caseload, and who takes pride in delivering outstanding patient care and client service. You will join a growing, collaborative nursing team where everyone is encouraged to contribute ideas and develop their own interests.

The practice offers facilities designed to support high quality medicine and surgery, and the team includes colleagues working towards additional certificates to expand what they can offer clients. It is a forward thinking environment where learning is genuinely part of the culture.

This is a full time position across 4 days per week, with a 1 in 4 weekend rotation and duty nights when required. The rota is structured to provide consistency and fairness across the team.

Why This Role Is Different

A Modern Clinical Environment

You will work in a purpose built clinic with contemporary facilities that allow you to nurse to a high standard. The focus here is on doing things properly, not cutting corners.

A Team That Invests in Growth

Several team members are working towards certificates, and continuous professional development is actively encouraged. This is a practice that sees CPD as an investment, not an expense.

A Collaborative Nursing Culture

They are looking for a true team player. Someone who enjoys supporting colleagues, sharing knowledge, and contributing to a positive, proactive nursing culture.

Stability and Momentum

This is a growing team within an established structure, offering the reassurance of stability alongside the energy of development and progression.

Your Journey Here

In Your First Month
You will focus on settling into the team, learning the practice systems, and building strong relationships with colleagues and clients. You will quickly become familiar with the varied caseload and day to day workflow.

In Your First 3 Months
You will be confidently managing nurse consults, supporting a broad range of surgical and medical cases, and identifying areas of particular clinical interest. Conversations around CPD and future development will begin to take shape.

In Your First 6 Months
You will be a trusted member of the nursing team, contributing ideas, supporting newer colleagues, and potentially progressing towards further qualifications or areas of advanced responsibility.
