No OOH | Community-focused practice | Genuine team culture

If you want to feel proud of the care you give again

If you are an RVN who still loves nursing but feels most fulfilled when you have time to care properly, for patients, for clients, and for yourself, this could be exactly what you have been looking for.

This is a role for someone who wants to finish the day knowing they truly made a difference, not just got through the list.

The Opportunity

We are working with a well established, RCVS accredited small animal practice in Thornton Heath, Greater London. This is a practice that has been part of its local community for decades and takes real pride in the relationships it has built with generations of clients and their pets.

They are now looking to welcome a Registered Veterinary Nurse who wants to be part of something meaningful. This is not about filling a gap on the rota. It is about finding someone who shares their values around compassionate, holistic care and teamwork.

You would be joining a friendly, supportive team where nurses are genuinely valued, encouraged to use their skills fully, and supported to grow. Whether you are newly qualified or an experienced RVN looking for a long term home, you will be welcomed here.

Why This Role Is Different

Care that looks at the whole picture

This team delivers excellent clinical care, but they also understand the bond between pets and their owners. Communication, empathy, and support are treated as essential parts of the job, not extras.

A team that really feels like a team

You will be working alongside like minded professionals in a relaxed and positive environment. Ideas are welcomed, contributions are valued, and people genuinely enjoy working together. There is a strong social side too, with team nights out and plenty of shared laughs during the day.

Nursing done properly

The practice provides high levels of surgical and inpatient care, is well equipped, and is actively developing and expanding nurse led clinics. This includes wellbeing assessments and community nursing, giving you the chance to really use your training and make your mark.

Deep community roots

This practice has longstanding relationships in the local area and actively gives back through charity and outreach work. Many clients have been coming through the doors for decades, which makes the work here especially rewarding.

Your Journey Here

In your first month, you will focus on settling in, getting to know the team, and feeling confident with the practice systems and standards. Support is always on hand.

By three months, you will be fully involved in clinical work, contributing ideas, and beginning to shape how you want your role to develop, including involvement in nurse led clinics or projects that interest you.

By six months, you will be a trusted, valued member of the team, using your skills to the full and helping to drive standards forward. There is real scope for progression, including development into senior or leadership roles if that is your goal.
