Purpose-built practice | Strong clinical support | Clear progression | No chaos culture

Feeling ready for a role where you can actually practise good medicine?

If you are an experienced GP vet who enjoys continuity, proper clinical standards, and being part of a team that genuinely cares about doing things well, this could be a very good next step.

The Opportunity

We are working with a modern, purpose-built small animal practice in Lincoln, that has been thoughtfully designed around both patient care and team wellbeing. This is the newest practice within a respected group, created with long-term sustainability in mind rather than short-term fixes.

They are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon with 3+ years of GP experience who wants to be a core part of the team, not just someone to fill a rota gap. You will be trusted to practise medicine to a high standard, supported by strong nursing care, modern facilities, and colleagues who value collaboration.

This is a role where preventative care, client education, and clinical development are genuinely prioritised. You will have the time, tools, and backing to do your job properly.

Why This Role Is Different

A practice built to support good medicine

This is a purpose-built, modern clinic with excellent facilities and up-to-date equipment, designed to make day-to-day clinical work smoother and safer. It is a setting where systems work, and where vets are not constantly firefighting.

A team that values development

Many of the team are actively working towards certificates, and that culture of learning is encouraged. CPD is funded and supported, not treated as a tick-box exercise.

Stability without stagnation

As the newest practice in the group, there is a real sense of momentum and opportunity. You are joining a team that is growing carefully, with space for ideas, interests, and progression.

A balanced rota

This is a full-time, permanent role working 39 hours per week with 1 in 4 weekends. The rota has been built to be fair and sustainable, supporting life outside of work as well as inside it.

Your Journey Here

In your first month:
You will focus on settling in, building relationships with the clinical and non-clinical team, and getting comfortable with the practice systems and facilities.

By three months:
You will be confidently managing your own caseload, contributing to discussions, and starting to shape how you practise within the team. CPD plans will be actively supported.

By six months:
You will be an established, trusted member of the practice, potentially pursuing further training or certificates, and helping to influence the ongoing development of clinical services.
